PBA Trade Rumors: SMB is about to trade for a #1 pick giant?

The moment San Miguel Beermen was eliminated by Bay Area Dragons in the semifinals, we expected that there will be rumor for some big changes.

There is silence now about the situation of their head coaching job. The loudest still are the trade rumors. And currently, the one with the biggest buzz is Isaac Go.

Isaac Go was the top pick of the 2019 PBA draft, Gilas edition. In that Gilas draft, he was with five other Gilas entrants.

Now, what was the most recent trade buzz?

Here it is: Jeepy Faundo, Mike Cañete, Paul Zamar and 2023 1st round-pick to Terra Firma Dyip's Isaac Go.

That package for Isaac Go is laughable. Jeepy Faundo and Mike Canete do not have trade value because both are free agency signing and they have been riding the bench from the start of their SMB contract.

Anyone claiming that those two have trade value is basically telling you that SMB can anybody and just because they are signed, they can already have trade value and can be used to draft for real players.

Paul was a great player but his length of time of being a bench player has eroded almost the entirety of his trade value.

That 1st round pick is the most valuable one. The funny thing is, SMB actually do not hold their upcoming 1st round pick already. Terrafirma already have it.

With all of those things, I do not think that this trade rumor is real.
