There is no question that the most interesting trades and rumors to talk about are the ones that involve the independent teams.
Any trade that only involves farm teams and their master conglomerates are most of the time lopsided and illogical to even start a discussion.
Even trade discussion rumors are interesting ones. According to a Twitter account PBA insider, Converge tried to get Pampanga native, Encho Serrano by offering Allyn Bulanadi and maybe RK Ilagan.
If the offer was really Bulanadi and Ilagan, I think Phoenix made the wrong decision. The combination of Bulanadi and RK has a higher trade value compared to Encho.
Serrano is the more productive player now than Bulanadi but in terms of ceiling, I think they are on the same level. Encho then has a better trade value but if you add RK to Allyn, that will be a winning package for Phoenix.
Although, the Insider was not really sure if RK was offered together with Bulanadi.
Converge just traded three guards. So, adding a guard like Encho Serrano will be a good target by Converge. Serrano also has the tools that the system of coach Aldin Ayo needs.
If I am Phoenix, I will ask for Jeo Ambohot and add something to Serrano to get Jeo. Phoenix do not have a young tall center like Ambohot.
