PBA Controversy: The Top 5 Biggest Snubs of the 2023 PBA All-Stars

So, the PBA will follow the lead of the NBA by copying their format. The top 2 voters will form teams and play in the All-Star game.

The PBA also decided that the all of the 24 players in the All-Stars will be selected by the fans. This has irked a lot of people.

In this article though, we are here to name the top 5 performing players that deserve are deserving to be part of the All-Star game but did not get enough vote!

#5 Rey Nambatac
I understand that Rain or Shine is having a bad season. Nevertheless, Nambatac is still putting up good numbers of 13.8 points, 38% FG, 28% 3FG, 4.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. Those numbers are way better than the production of several players in that announced All-Stars.

#4 Calvin Oftana
Before his trade to TNT, Oftana started the season with an explosive statline in the Philippine Cup. It is understood that he is now overshadowed by the mighty guards of TNT but Oftana is still a better player this season than several players in that announced All-Stars.

#3 Tyler Tio
For the entirety of the 2023 season, Tyler was the best player of Phoenix. He is only a rookie but he is already playing like a veteran. He is putting up 12.1 points, 44% FG, 38% 3FG, 2.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

#2 Don Trollano
I think this one is the worst. At least the #1 guy is still on the reserve list. Don is arguably a top 7 player this season. And his story of working his game up from being a role player is an excellent plot for a movie. Don is currently averaging 15.7 points, 45% FG, 43% 3FG, 5.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

Jio Jalalon
This one is quite shocking because Jio is actually the best overall player of Magnolia this season. He is having his best season so far producing 11.3 points, 41% FG, 34% 3FG, 5.1 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.2 steals per game.
