PBA Trade Rumors: Is Tyler Tio a realistic trade target of Barangay Ginebra?

There is this circulating post by an unreliable Facebook page about Barangay Ginebra having this desire of getting Tyler Tio.

In that post, it presented that Ginebra wants to get Chris Newsome and that there second option is to get Tyler Tio.

The way the rumor was presented is highly unreliable. It is already speaking about a grandslam when the earliest possibility for Ginebra to win a grand slam is in the 2024-2025 season.

And if you really think about it, if they will trade for Tyler, they will need to give up one of their core players. The most likely is Stanley Pringle. But, I doubt Phoenix will do that knowing how high the salary of Stanley is and every other core player of Ginebra.

Although, it will not be shocking if Ginebra and other elite teams are interested to trade for Tyler because of his current play and obvious marketability.

Also, Ginebra and Phoenix has made a trade in the last five years. Phoenix traded Jeff Chan to Ginebra for a first round pick.

Of course, a first round pick may not be enough for Tyler knowing that he is very young and the pick of Ginebra is not a good one.
