PBA Trade Rumors: The next Meralco Bolts player to be traded is?

Believe it or not but Magnolia Hotshots is not the only team that did not make a trade in 2022. Meralco Bolts also were far away from the trade table.

But they are still failing to win the championship. I am pretty sure that the pressure for them to make a move is really high right now.

So, let me rank their players according to the likelihood that they are the next player to be traded.

#7 Reynel Hugnatan, Aaron Black, Diego Dario
It is almost set in stone that Reynel will retire with the Bolts. Black is of course connected to the current head coach. Dario is just signed and I am pretty sure his trade value is not even there yet.

#6 Anjo Caram, Cliff Hodge
Meralco is giving me this loyalty vibes. Caram and Hodge has played their entire career for the Meralco franchise and what they mean to the franchise is way higher compared to their trade value.

#5 Kyle Pascual, Raymond Almazan
I know that Almazan is injury-prone and Pascual is just big but Meralco do not have the depth to just trade away big players like those two.

#4 Chris Newsome
I will not be surprised if most of you are shocked to see Chris in the middle of the ranking. Even though we have not heard a rumor from legit sources. Chris not signing an extension at this point is telling me that he wants to test free-agency.

#3 Allein Maliksi, Chris Banchero
Maliksi and Banchero are at #3 because they are the starting-caliber player that Meralco can trade to get a good value back.

#2 Reymar Jose, Franky Johnson, Alvin Pasaol, Jansen Rios
If Meralco wants to create a package to trade for a star, I expect these names to be discussed. Pasaol is of course the most interesting and I still think that he can be special.

#1 Bong Quinto
I think you area already aware why Bong is at the top spot? It is because of the rumored desire of Converge to get him. Converge has the pieces that can enticed Meralco to give up their starting wing, Bong Quinto.
