PBA Trade Rumors: Who is the next Magnolia Hotshots to be traded?

Magnolia Hotshots finally got their first victory in this 2023 PBA Governors' Cup. Although, I am still doubtful that Antonio Hester is really the right guy for them.

Magnolia can still make a comeback in this tournament but the vibes right now around the team is not that good. And I think a trade will soon happen.

Their last trade happened in 2021. So, they are ripe to make a trade. So, how about ranking all their players according to the likelihood that they are the next guy to be traded.

#7 Ian Sangalang, Rafi Reavis, James Laput
It is hard to see Magnolia trading any of their tall players. I heard in the past that they will only trade Sangalang if they will get another top 10 giant in the league. Reavis will soon retire. Laput is just developing to take over the role of Reavis.

#6 Rome Dela Rosa, Aris Dionisio
I have not heard the names of Rome and Aris in any legit trade rumor. It could be because of the nature of their role for Magnolia. They are excellent glue guys who will not be superstars. Thus, their trade value will not be that high.

#5 Calvin Abueva, Jed Mendoza, Jerrick Ahanmisi
It is also hard to see Jed Mendoza being traded because his trade value is non-existent. I think Magnolia values the marketability of Calvin for them to trade him soon. Jerrick is seen as their best off-ball shooter and that will make it hard for them to let him go.

#4 Jio Jalalon, Mark Barroca
At the middle of the pack are the two point guards of Magnolia. Jio was part of some rumors last year. This season, he is playing his best. That can convince Magnolia to keep him. Barroca has a strong historical footprint in the franchise that retiring with Magnolia should be a big consideration.

#3 Keith Zaldivar, Adrian Wong, Russell Escoto
At #3 are their end-of-the-bench players that they can add to a trade package to increase the quantity that they a are trading for that better player.

#2 Jackson Corpuz
Together with #1, Jackson has been in numerous trade rumors in the past few years. With that, the likelihood that they will unload him is really big.

#1 Paul Lee
Lee has been the center of trade discussion in Magnolia in the past two years. He is still with the team and he is performing well in this tournament. Nonetheless, he can still be traded as the scapegoat for the inability of Magnolia to win a chip in the past few years.
