PBA Prediction: San Miguel and Ginebra to the Semis is a SURE THING?

The playoffs for the 2023 PBA Governors' Cup is set! Make sure that you will enjoy this because it will take a long time before the next one!

This Sunday, we will have two amazing series to kick start it! Let me give my prediction!

XERS Versus SMB
X-Factors
Bigman depth of SMB
Tom Vodanovich
Assists

Two teams with the biggest dilemma will face off with each other. San Miguel ended Converge first run in the playoffs last year. Can they do it again without Fajardo?

Without Fajardo San Miguel will need to rely on Moala Tautuaa and Vic Manuel. They showed up in the last game of San Miguel.

For Converge, they will have a new import and there is a good chance that he will only play one game. Tom will be a different import to Jamaal Franklin.

San Miguel has been a better oiled machine under coach Jorge. While Converge decided to replace Jamaal to improve their ball movement.

Prediction
If Jamaal Franklin is still the import of Converge, I will be very tempted to choose an upset here because of the absence of Fajardo. Numbers though are all pointing to San Miguel and with a less-talented import, I do not think Converge stand a chance.

BGSM Versus NLEX
X-Factors
Three-point shooting
Don Trollano
Rebounds

I am actually excited to witness this showdown because of the big 3 of NLEX and them having a quality import in this series.

Numbers though are heavily in favor of Ginebra. One of the few advantage of NLEX is in three-point shooting and that will be the key to an upset.

Trollano do not have the luxury to have a bad game and Ginebra should be warry about him because he has the talent now to explode and push his team to a victory.

Rebounding is also a big factor with NLEX being in the last spot.

Prediction
Even though I am excited to watch this, I also saw this as an easy one to predict. The numbers are pointing to Ginebra and I think they have the personnel to make Don's life, a hard one.
