PBA Power Ranking: 2023 1st Mythical Team!

I think it is not an exaggeration if I say that the 2022-2023 season of the PBA is one of the most entertaining one in this century.

It ended with a TNT championship, which means we have three different champions in this season. Now that the season is over, it is time to talk about the awards.

Let us start with our First Mythical team! This is the 1st mythical team of Ph-Ball GM and not the PBA. So, our rules were simple. As long as their is a legit center and a legit point guard in the mythical team, it is already a valid one.

So, here is our mythical team!

Center - Junemar Fajardo
Fajardo is still not back to his the Kraken form but he still have the highest impact in the game. He is still very dominant inside and defensively, his mere presence terrorize players. His sudden injury in the Governors' Cup just showed that the Beermen cannot compete for the championship without him.

Forward - Christian Standhardinger
I have been looking forward to this. The season where Standhardinger will finally find his groove as the main local guy of Ginebra on offense. That happened this season as Christian produced 15.3 points, 56% FG, 8.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.

Forward - Scottie Thompson
The reigning MVP is still the most well-rounded wing in the league. Although, his numbers are a bit down this season. He still averaged 13.9 points, 49% FG, 36% 3FG, 7.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game.

Guard - RR Pogoy
Pogoy just delivered his best season in the PBA. Unfortunately, he failed to finish their triumphant series against Ginebra in the Governors' Cup. Nevertheless, Pogoy is really amazing on both ends of the court this season. He has a good argument of being the best three-and-D guard in the league. He averaged 18.3 points, 41% 3FG, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

Guard - Mikey Williams
Mikey Williams redeemed himself by taking over for TNT in the finals against Ginebra. If you remember, he was not his usual star-level performer in their Philippine Cup finals against the San Miguel Beermen. His numbers are actually good all throughout the season and with what he did against Ginebra, he deserved this final spot!
