Having a homecourt in the NBA just push it on a higher level in terms of competition. Just the mere fact that you can give a real advantage to higher seeds without giving them an enormous one like Twice-to-Beat.
Now, the home-and-away format has been requested by the PBA fans for a very long time. But the league has not bulged.
According to some, it may not be financially possible knowing that it will mean a much higher costs of running the league.
Now, I question that reason because the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League is still running today and they are really trying to honor that home-and-away format! So, Manny Pacquiao was right all along?
I think big venues have been built in a good number of provinces that running a home-and-away format now is really possible.
I am not sure though if commissioner Willie Marcial will even have a time to push for it knowing the number of big issues that the league is facing today.
