PBA Trade Rumors: TNT will trade JP Erram this offseason?

TNT Tropang Giga's center John Paul Erram contradicted Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes about his availability for the national team in the upcoming 32nd Southeast Asian Games. Erram stated in an interview with Spin.ph that he is currently healthy and able to play for Gilas Pilipinas, which aims to recapture the SEA Games men’s basketball gold medal. He added that he is always prepared to answer the call for Gilas Pilipinas and is still waiting for the opportunity to be included in Reyes’ roster.

However, Reyes mentioned in a recent interview that Erram declined the invitation to play for Gilas, citing his knee surgery as the reason. Despite being listed on the 28-player roster, Erram was the second player, after Deschon Winston, who was not invited by Reyes to the training camp.

This is not a good sign for the continuation of the partnership between TNT and Erram. There is no way that coach Chot Reyes missed the availability of JP.

The fact that Gilas is having a hard time getting players for Gilas but they decided not to get Erram is just pointing to one thing in our eyes.

Coach Chot is not fond of him anymore. And knowing that coach Chot is still the main guy in the coaching staff and even the management of TNT, it could be a sign of what is to come for JP.

The question now is, can they find the right trade? Even if they want to trade JP. They will commit a mistake if they will not get a center in return. Like, if they trade him to Magnolia, they will surely ask for a center in return like James Laput or Abu Tratter. If it is San Miguel, they will ask for  Moala Tautuaa.
