Let us have a new series of article where we tackle the biggest question that each team is facing in this offseason as they prepare for the 2023-2024 season.
For this first edition, we will have Converge Fiber Xers, Magnolia Hotshots, NLEX Road Warriors and Northport Batang Pier.
Converge - Is Terrafirma/Blackwater willing to trade their top pick to Converge?
This is easily the biggest question right now for Converge. If those teams are not willing, I wonder if Converge will feel that they have wasted a year. Justine Baltazar is their target and the surest way to get him is to trade for one of the top 2 picks of the upcoming draft.
Magnolia - Will they trade again this offseason?
Magnolia did not make a trade last year. They already made one this year and we are only in the middle of the year. I am pretty sure the fans want more.
NLEX - Can they really contend now?
Unfortunately for NLEX, the MVP group has used them as their de facto 2nd source of great talent. Now under coach Frankie Lim, is that role over for them? Or TNT is just enjoying their latest triumph?
Northport - Should they reach for Frank Yu with the #5 pick?
Frank Yu is an awesome guard but I do not think he will be worth it for the #5 pick. Nevertheless, the connection is really strong right now.
