PBA Controversy: TNT superstar chose PBA over Japan B League!

RR Pogoy is staying put, folks!

The TNT Tropang GIGA made a major announcement, revealing that their star player has officially signed a three-year contract extension. This means Pogoy will continue to grace the PBA court during his prime years.

Although they haven't disclosed the exact terms of the deal, sources indicate that the compensation and bonus package were enticing enough to ward off offers from Japan B.League teams.

Pogoy's decision to stay with the MVP organization was heavily influenced by his loyalty. According to close sources, the Cebuano shooter holds a strong bond with the team.

Confirming the buzz, Pogoy's agent, Edgar Mangahas, acknowledged that the Far Eastern University alum had indeed received tempting offers from B.League teams, including lucrative monthly salaries in the seven digits.

The big question now is, is this the right decision for him?

Being 31 years old make it a little bit delicate for him. He will exit his prime soon and that could mean that he will only have a few years of peak form in Japan.

That could actually end up being a negative for him financially if he starts to regress in Japan and PBA teams will not offer that much anymore.

So, the decision is not that bad.
