2023 PBA Draft: UP bigman wants to play for Ginebra or San Miguel?

It is easy to get excited about the upcoming draft because big names are starting to declare their intention of joining. Fans are beginning to salivate!

But remember what transpired last year? From PBA denying the entry of big name draftees up to last minute rescinding of entry by Justine Baltazar, a deep draft can easily turn into another shallow one.

The next big name that social media people reported to be part of the upcoming draft is Henry Galinato. The rotation bigman of UP in the last UAAP season.

Galinato's main selling point is his physique. He seems to be bulkier than Justin Arana. With his size, he is actually very strong. I am not sure though that he will maximize it like Justin.

According to some social media pages, San Miguel and Ginebra are the teams that he wants to play for. He has a chance to fall in the draft if it becomes as deep as expected because of the Fil-Foreign rules. And that could be the chance for the Beermen or Ginebra to grab him.

Knowing that he is a bigman, he is of course a potential target for San Miguel and Ginebra. In a way, both will be a fine destination for Galinato because he will have veteran bigs there to guide him.
