PBA Power Ranking: Top 5 Forward Breakout Candidate!

We will continue our series of articles wherein we are naming the top 5 candidates to breakout in every position. We are already done with guards and wings.

In this edition, we will tackle the forwards. These are the players that can play as the 3rd or 4th biggest player for their team for majority of their minutes in the court.

#5. Santi Santillan
This guy was a top 5 pick for a reason. It was not shocking that he has not found his rhythm right away because finding his real position right away was a work-in-progress. With coach Yeng Guiao there, I am more confident about his future.

#4. Jamie Malonzo
I think I have been the biggest believer of Jamie. His combination of athleticm, size and skill level was so good that I saw him right away as a potential #1 player in the league. And that could happen as early as next season.

#3. Sean Manganti
For the 2nd year in a row, Sean has improved his efficiency from beyond-the-arc. It is a good sign for his potential of becoming a legit 3-and-D forward. A type of player that is hard to find in the league.

#2. David Murrell
There is a good chance that coach Chito Victolero will fall-in-love with the energy and athleticism of David. That could propel him to more minutes and maybe even more.

#1. Arvin Tolentino
It seems like Arvin is now the main guy of Northport. His performance in the PBA on Tours is so good that there is a good chance that he will make the Jamie Malonzo look like a fair deal.
