As we continue to wait for the 2023 FIBA World Cup, let me give you a new series of articles wherein we will look at the players that should be #1 in the no trade list of each team!
It is easy to assume that the player that should be here in this list is the best player of each team. But, situations are different for each team.
So, we will continue with Converge, NLEX and Meralco.
Converge - Justin Arana
If his numbers in the ongoing PBA on Tours is a reflection of his improvement, Arana is about to become the top player of Converge. Unless, Baltazar find his way to the team. The guy is a monstrous traditional bigman. He will be a hard guy to defend for any team.
NLEX - Brandon Rosser
This one is easy. I never expected to say this but Rosser is the best challenger right now of Malonzo for the title of having the highest potential ceiling in the league. If Rosser can further improve his efficiency, it will be harder for them to stop him.
Meralco - Chris Newsome
This one is a toss-coin between Aaron Black and Newsome. Newsome is the better player right now but Black has a path of becoming a better player, overall. Nevertheless, letting go of Newsome right now will hurt Meralco more than giving up Black.
