Gilas Controversy: Coach Tab Baldwin outcoached coach Chot in the Angola match!

Almost every Filipino right now is clamoring for a head coaching change for our dear national team in basketball. We call them Gilas Pilipinas, by the way.

Coach Chot Reyes was put at that position after the sudden exit of coach Tab Baldwin. Up to this point, there is no clear reason for it.

At the very moment that coach Chot was delegated as the returning head coach of the national team, people were crying right away that coach Tab is the better choice.

And this 2023 FIBA World Cup is showing that the fans are correct. I am pretty sure you witnessed our defeat at the hand of Angola.

You saw what happened right? Jordan Clarkson and the other slashers were met with a fortress. Angola was superb in protecting the rim. So, we needed our shooters to hit there shot.

And here is the kicker, coach Tab Baldwin gave this statement several hours before the game.

Going forward, Angola has some of the best rim protecting defense that I have seen. We are gonna have a really hard time getting to the rim. Clarkson's gonna have to do a great job. I think, being a distributor as much as scorer, because he's gonna have a hard time finishing in the paint. All of Gilas is gonna need to shoot the ball from three better, I believe.

Yes, coach Tab is a crazy good coach that he projected what could transpire in the game and it happened.
