PBA Free Agency: San Miguel sign a 37 years old veteran!

Nine years after his last appearance in the PBA, three-point specialist Jaypee Belencion is set to make a comeback with the San Miguel Beermen for the upcoming Commissioner's Cup.

This exciting news was announced by his current team, the Pasay Voyagers of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.

The Pasay Voyagers expressed their pride in Belencion's work ethic, leadership qualities, and determination, emphasizing how these attributes have paved the way for his return to the PBA.

Originally from Zarraga, Iloilo, Belencion had his first PBA stint from 2012 to 2014, representing the Meralco Bolts and NorthPort Batang Pier. During his basketball career, he also made appearances with Tanduay in the PBA D-League and Limitless in the PBA 3x3.

Belencion's return to the PBA will undoubtedly add excitement to the upcoming Commissioner's Cup, and fans are eager to see him back in action on the court.

I think this is a good candidate for one of the worst signings by the San Miguel Beermen in the free agency. Belencion is already 37 years old!

San Miguel is one of the oldest squads in the league. What is the point of grabbing Jaypee? Specially when you look at his MPBL stats and see that he is not even getting consistent minutes there!
