PBA Trade Rumors: Magnolia-Northport potential Robert Bolick Trade!

Robert Bolick and the Japan B.League Division 2 team Fukushima Firebonds have amicably parted ways after just one game, as announced by the team on Thursday.

Bolick, who contributed 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists in the team's 95-90 loss to the Passlab Yamagata Wyverns, personally requested the release. His decision was primarily motivated by ensuring the safety of his wife Cassandra, who is currently residing with him in Japan and is 10 weeks pregnant.

Agent Marvin Espiritu shared that the couple found the B.League's demanding home-and-away format to be particularly challenging, leading Bolick to cut short his B.League tenure and sacrifice his lucrative contract. While the couple is en route to the Philippines, there are hints suggesting a potential return to the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) for the talented guard, with NorthPort Batang Pier holding Bolick's rights.

Robert has been rumored to be traded forever but his right is still with Northport. Now, San Miguel and Ginebra made two great additions through free agency. Maybe, Magnolia could do the same but through trade.

What is the fair, realistic and bad trade?

Fair - Robert Bolick for Jio Jalalon and James Laput
Bolick is a top 5 performer in the PBA. To get such value, Magnolia should put the best package possible. Jalalon and Laput are two players that can round up the core of Northport.

Realistic - Mark Barroca, Abu Tratter and 2nd round pick for Robert Bolick
The realistic expectation is that Magnolia will give a package of quantity. Barroca and Tratter are solid veterans that can help Northport win games.

Worst - Paul Lee for Robert Bolick
Lee is as deadly as Bolick from beyond the arc in his heydays. The problem is, he is already 34. A straight swap will be easy for fans to defend until they look at the age.
