San Miguel Corporation successfully pushed all their teams again to the semifinals of the 2024 PBA Commissioners Cup.
On the other hand, MVP Group failed to have a representative. Meralco and TNT fought hard but failed in the end. So, here is our trade suggestion for the two teams.
Meralco - Bong Quinto for Jeo Ambohot and King Caralipio
I understand that Quinto is a superb player and has been one of the rocks of Meralco in the past several years. But Meralco should really look into maximizing the connection of Bong to Converge and get the best deal possible.
If they can get Ambohot and Caralipio, I think they are already on the right track. Ambohot is really underrated right now as a prospect. I think he can shoot for a center. With his shooting, he can be the right partner to Brandon Bates.
Caralipio is that multi-talented wing that could actually become the next Bong Quinto. Although, there are differences in the range of their skills.
TNT - Kim Aurin for Sidney Onwubere and 2nd round pick
Finding a draft steal in Kim Aurin is always a fun experience. It will not be shocking if TNT will be motivated to keep him as part of their core. Kim has amazing impact now but I think they badly need to add muscle into their team.
TNT may want to do a big trade but I think doing a small one is the right step. Sidney will be a reliable bench big for them while that 2nd round pick can be used as an additional piece in a much bigger trade.
