To activate Jerrick Balanza, Magnolia put David Murrell into Unrestricted Free Agency. That means, in totality, they gave up a 2nd and the risk that David will be stolen from them to get Jerrick Balanza.
No disrespect to Balanza but I do not think he is worth that much. Nevertheless, Magnolia felt that they need him that badly.
Now, Murrell is available to any teams who wants to sign him. Which top 3 teams should try?
#3. Converge
I know that they traded him but Converge is the most obvious team who should try to get high-potential guys like Murrell. With the looming change in the head coach position, there is a chance that Converge can still convince David to sign with them.
#2. San Miguel
With the presence of Don Trollano in San Miguel, the forward position is now on a good level. Nevertheless, adding another one should be considered.
#1. Ginebra
Ginebra is facing a big injury problem with what happened to Jamie Malonzo. Malonzo has been their most consistent star player in this tournament. Missing him, will be huge. So, adding a forward who is also very athletic can be an early band-aid solution.
