Each conference means new beginning and new opportunity for every player to perform better. These five players surely took advantage of that as they are on their way to a breakout conference.
Reden Celda
I will not be shock if you don't know him. He is a back-up guard of the Floodbusters and he is doing pretty well. He is making 9.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game, in 17.6 minutes of playing time. What makes it special is his efficiency, 48.2% FG and 46.2% from beyond the arc.
Chris Ellis
Tired of waiting for his ultimate breakout? Here is a conference breakout for now to satisfy a little bit of your craving. I mean that " a little bit". He is playing 1.2 minutes less than last conference but if you check his per36 minutes production, you will see a much versatile player. It is 14.1 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists, up from 9.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists last conference.
Carl Bryan Cruz
CBC made a loud noise in his PBA debut but the hype slowly diminished, last conference. It is getting louder, once again. His minutes is down by 1.7 minutes but his scoring production is up by 1.9 points. The best thing about this conference though, is the 17.8% increase of his efficiency in the field. He did that with a higher usage rate!
Roger Pogoy
I did not anticipate Pogoy to be this dependable in his rookie season. Playing under his college coach, surely helps a lot, especially in terms of his confidence. This conference, he is a much better marksman and scorer. He is bucketing 14.0 points in 52.6% FG and 38.7% 3FG this tournament.
Baser Amer
Where are the downers of the Hammer in his rookie seasons? His 16.0 points, 46.9% FG, 40.0% 3FG, 5.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists is for you! The Hammer is breaking down any defenders with his ability to roll around picks and go to his sweet spots. With more trust from his teammates, and a bigger body in Stephenson, Amer is simply playing his opponents around.
