#2 Jayson Castro
TNT will not reached the Finals without the leading of the Blur 2.0. His 15.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 43.0% FG and 30% 3FG numbers are a little bit below his standard. But, his 6.9 assists was the 2nd best at the end of elimination.
The real reason why he was my #2 was his performance in the playoffs. In game 3 against Meralco, he dashed 31 points in 8/16 shooting with 3 rebounds and 3 steals. He erupted again in their series-clinching game 4 against Ginebra. He went 38 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assists and 5/8 shooting from beyond the arc.
Great players show up on big games.
#1 Chris Ross
Playing with an even better team because of the inclusion of imports, Ross fried opponents with 12.0 points, 52.7% FG, 40.0% 3FG, 4.6 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 2.5 steals in the elimination round. That 7.5 assists and 2.5 steals are league-best!
Overall, his 21.7 net rating is the 3rd best in the league! Yes, better than the imports! Net Rating is the net of the Offensive Rating and Defensive Rating of a player!
And in the playoffs? He was even more spectacular! He is literally filling up the stat-sheet with his 15.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 9.7 assists and 3.9 steals per game! That statline is insane! His 9.7 is 3.6 dimes better than the #2. While his 3.9 steals will still beat the combined steals of the #2 and #3 which is 3.8!
With this conference, a big question arise. Did Chris Ross solidify himself as a top 10 player in the league?
