This will be short and quick. PBA's popularity is entering a level that could make it very hard to regain prominence.
I don't need to show any numbers to back this claim. If you are a PBA fan, you can feel it. The deft ears of the people at the top will soon push the league to oblivion.
Do you believe me?
Ask these questions to yourself.
Is PBA still popular in your barangay? How about in your city?
How many of your friends know the name Chris Ross? How about Joe Devance?
Do anyone even know in your vicinity that the PBA already has 12 teams? Do they even recognize the company, Globalport?
And ask this for your friends that watch PBA. Which team won the 2016 Commissioner's Cup?
The problem of the PBA is not about marketing, ticket pricing or level of playing field. The problem is their broken credibility.
And broken credibility is even much harder to fix than a broken heart.
