2017 PBA Mock Draft 1.0: Is this the Standhardinger/Ravena draft?

We are only 23 days away from our 2017 PBA Rookie draft. A lot of development were already reported. Bobby Ray Parks will not enter this year's draft. Christian Standhardinger is the biggest name. And Kiefer Ravena is still contemplating.

So, using the most likely order of the draft, let us predict it!

#1 Kia Picanto - Christian Standhardinger
The #1 pick should be a no-brainer for Picanto. They need a bigman and luckily, the most impactful player in the draft is a bigman. Christian will not be a 20-10 guy right away. But, a 16 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks kind of season is attainable.

#2 NLEX Road Warriors - Kiefer Ravena
This is the easiest. According to coach Yeng, his top two choices in the draft is Standhardinger and Kiefer Ravena. If Kiefer joins, NLEX will just grab the one that Kia will not pick.

#3 Blackwater Elite - Jeron Teng
Jeron Teng really fits the Elite. Teng should be playing SG to form a futuristic core of DiGregorio-Maliksi-Belo-Erram. I think Elite is already acting like a legit franchise and drafting Teng will surely solidify that.
#4 Phoenix Fuel Masters - Raymar Jose
Phoenix first pick should be easy. They need to beef up their frontcourt. Doug Kramer, Willy Wilson, Joseph Eriobu and JC Intal is not good enough to contend. Jose is a little bit undersize but he could be a great understudy for Kramer and Wilson.

#5 Alaska Aces - Davon Potts
Davon is having a down year in the current NCAA season. Nevertheless, I expect Alaska to see something out of a very cautious player. Davon is very skilled and capable of doing everything and anything. He can shoot from the outside which Alaska badly needs with the retirement of Hontiveros.

#6 Globalport Batang Pier - Jason Perkins
Perkins and coach Pumaren has the DLSU connection. Other than that, Perkins is the best prospect at this point. Good athleticism with good skills set. He can play as the small or the power forward. He can shoot from the outside.

#7 Rain or Shine Elasto Painters - Lervin Flores
I expect Rain or Shine to look for a bigman in the draft. Lervin Flores is not really that pure bigman that Rain or Shine is looking for but still, he can play the four and he is very athletic and dynamic. He is a good project who should improved a lot by banging bodies with Belga and Almazan in practice.

#8 Star Hotshots - Rey Nambatac
There is no way Nambatac will fall as low as #8! Maybe, I am just over-analyzing things. But, just in-case I am correct in predicting the first seven teams to question his size and passed on him, Hotshots will surely grabbed him and with his rebounding capabilities, he should be able to play the SF position, ala-Thompson.

#9 Phoenix Fuel Masters - Thomas Torres
Phoenix has not solidified their point guard rotation. They have RJ Jazul as their starter but after him is a question mark. Chico Lanete is already an old and injury-stricken player. Thomas Torres works hard on defense and thinks carefully in leading an offense.

#10 TNT Ka-Tropa - Robie Herndon
Robie could be the steal of this draft. He did not play in UAAP and NCAA so he will surely be underrated in the draft. Nevertheless, you better take note of his name. He is very explosive and a flying acrobat.

#11 Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel - Jett Manuel
Ginebra is loaded in the frontcourt. Thompson and Mercado are capable of playing the wing. So, how about a possible bench-spark in Manuel? He can shoot threes and make plays.

#12 Phoenix Fuel Masters - Zachary Nicholls
Phoenix love to shoot threes. Zachary always shoot threes. Too much of a perfect match for not to happen if Zachary will still be there with #12.
