It seems like the legitimacy of the PBA will again take a shot in the upcoming 2017 PBA draft. Picking at the top of the draft is Kia Picanto and we all know how the PBA universe look at them.
Unfortunately, and as expected, they are not closing the door in trading the 2017 #1 pick. In an interview with Tempo, the general manager of the team, Eric Pineda admit that they are not closing the door in trading the top pick.
DISAPPOINTING
I don't think any trade for that doesn't include at least one in-prime perennial all-star; like Alex Cabagnot, Chris Ross, Raymond Almazan, Beau Belga, Marc Barroca and etc, will be accepted by the PBA fans.

And I don't even expect Kia to even find at least one in-prime perennial all-star in return.
That means, their status will again be dragged down if a trade, happens.
It just hard to defend them as a really serious team if they will again make a questionable trade. Up to this point, we cannot see any kind of form or direction for their young franchise. That is just unacceptable.
