2017-18 Phil. Cup Team Power Ranking: The Bottom Six

Good day PBA Universe! It seems like we will be having a great Christmas and New Year as the league will push through this December 17 and Narvasa is bound to step-down in January!

So, how about a little look on the power hierarchy of the league before the season starts?

#12 Kia Picanto
How many Picanto can you name for the upcoming season? I am pretty sure almost all of us cannot name more than 8 players. At least, we need to thank them for their (the management) thick face. Why? If not for their trade with SMB, Narvasa could be the top figure of the league up to this point.

#11 Phoenix Fuel Masters
I think their defense is a huge question. Their offense will not have a problem because they have Matthew Wright, JC Intal and Jeff Chan. Their problem is their defense. They do not have a legit stopper on that side which could lead to a lot of star explosions that they need to overcome.

#10 Blackwater Elite
I am excited to see this team perform in the upcoming season. They are building it the right way and now, they have a reliable five to push them into contention. I think the key for them will be JP Erram. If he can be healthy and be a reliable scorer down low, the Elite will be a complete team.

#9 NLEX Road Warriors
We can always count on coach Yeng Guaio to mold a team that can win games. Their frontline is worth our attention because it is a combination of veterans and players who are trying to prove their worth.

Let us not forget about Kiefer Ravena. He is the most lethal rookie on the offensive end. Will he claim NLEX as his team, right away?

#8 Rain or Shine Elasto Painters
They don't feel like the hardworking and rugged Rain or Shine that we are use to. I think, they are more talented than the last team that coach Yeng handled but I don't think they are going on the upswing. Their aging frontline is their biggest hole.

#7 Meralco Bolts
Meralco will not win the Championship with Ballesteros as their defensive bigman. Their is no doubt that they have a better team than Globalport and even TNT (due to age), but in the playoffs, a huge size disadvantage will be deadly. Actually, we already saw that in the Governors Cup where they were one of the two last standing teams. And in the very last game of that conference, their size disadvantage was very clear.
