A classic PBA/basketball blogger had a very intriguing tweet, recently.
In his tweets, he said that the future of the point guard position of San Miguel Beermen is already stable because Stanley Pringle is in line to take the helm out of Alex Cabagnot and Chris Ross.
In short, he expect Stanley to be a Beermen, maybe two years from now?
Should we expect it too? First, we already know that Globalport is on the side of San Miguel. In the short history of Globalport, we never saw them making an idiotic trade to favor the SMC side, so there is that bright chance that Batang Pier is not really there to enrich SMC.
Regarding Alex and Chris, only Alex is needed to be replace, two years from now. He is already 35 years old and it is hard to fathom a positive contributing 37 years old guard, playing 25+ minutes today.
Chris Ross is only 32 years old and he is physically gifted and his outside shooting is improving so he could still be capable, two years from now/
Overall, I still don't label Globalport as an independent franchise but I don't think they are a farm team, too.
So, I can see it happening, but I don't expect it to happen this season.
