It seems like we are only waiting for the inevitable. Which is, Coach Nash will not return as the coach of TNT Ka Tropa.
After the announcement of TNT that coach Nash will go for indefinite leave, social media and forums started to talk about what happened.
One legit insider revealed that the veterans of TNT were the first ones to give up on him. This happened after TNT suffered two blowout defeats against Phoenix Fuel Masters and Alaska Aces.
According to Fidel Mangonon III, this was the first time that TNT lost two games with an average margin of 29.
Going back to the rumors, the source named Jayson Castro, Terrence Romeo and Kelly Williams. When those three showed displeasure towards coach Nash, the other players followed.
But Jayson Castro provided statements after their loss to Alaska that were contrary to the rumors. “Kailangan yung mindset namin ibahin namin, kasi nasa players na hindi na sa coaches o kung sino man. Kami yung naglalaro sa loob, so walang dapat sisihin kundi kami.”
Instead of pointing fingers towards anyone outside of the playing court, The Blur expressed that the reason for their struggles was the players themselves, especially the locals.
Although, their displeasure towards the coach may not be rooted in their losses but more on how he handles his position as the coach of the squad.
Unfortunately for coach Nash, he may have a hard time refuting because of the results of their campaign under him.
