Once the trade starts to happen, we should officially call this the TNT Melo-drama.
The PBA universe is buzzing after the primary source of trade rumors tweeted about a quote of a top veteran point guard saying that if the other point guard, who is in the rumor mill, is not shipped to another team, he should just be the one to be traded!
Even without naming anyone, the clue is pretty obvious. As of today, there is only one point guard who is in the rumor mill, and that is Terrence Romeo.
And in Romeo's team, there is only one top veteran point guard, his name is Jayson Castro.
Now, we need to chill and remember that rumors are rumors because they are just rumors. The rumor itself revealed that it was a secondary information. What if the source of the source added or removed something from the original quote?
My biggest question mark is about the persona of The Blur. I cannot remember a time in the past that he conflicted with any teammate. And I do not sense him to be the kind of player that will force his team to trade one of his comrade, especially their 2nd best, if not their best player.
It is not as if Castro and Romeo were not teammates before. They have been playing together for the national team. And in national team play, most of the time respect develops between our representatives.
And I also doubt Terrence is that destructive that he will show this negative side of The Blur.
Wait. Maybe that is the answer. Maybe the difference in the culture and the way Romeo is playing in the court and behaving in practice is too big for Jayson to handle.
Maybe.
