Will one of the top 3 picks be traded to one of the teams of the two big conglomerates in the league?
I do believe that the majority of us hope that it will not happen again. The Christian Standhardinger trade brought the league down to a level that we never wanted it to reach.
So, I am pretty sure a lot of you were sad when you heard about the rumored Bobby Ray Parks to Meralco trade.
And some of you smiled when the news that the trade was not yet proposed, as denied by the team owner of Blackwater.
So the question now is, what jersey will Ray Parks wear by January 2019?
MERALCO BOLTS
The deal was sound. Meralco will get Parks. Blackwater will get Jericho Cruz and Brian Heruela. TNT will get Baser Amer.
That report was already refuted by Mr. Dioceldo Sy. He said that he will try Parks for at least a conference. After that, they will decide.
If that happens, Meralco will be hurt the most. It was rumored last week already that Amer was disgusted to find out that he was being traded by Meralco. So, can he stomach playing for them for at least a conference?
ALAB PILIPINAS
When asked by reporters after Alab's game against Formosa Dreamers, Parks said that he will finish his 3rd season with Alab. That is ironic to what Mr. Sy said. Mr. Sy said that he already talked to the management of Alab about letting him go to play in the Philippine Cup.
If I am going to make the bet, I will bet that Parks will still be playing in Alab by January 2019. Even if he gets traded, Parks may still finish the ABL season, just like what Christian Standhardinger did.
ANOTHER TEAM
This is the most interesting possibility. If Meralco is a possibility, why not TNT?
This is the most interesting possibility. If Meralco is a possibility, why not TNT?
Or how about the team with the 2nd most powerful line-up in the league?
Why is Ginebra so silent? Is there a possibility that they will try to steal Parks from the MVP group? What if their boss ordered them? Remember, the rivalry of SMC and MVP goes beyond the PBA.
One more key here is the fact that Parks wants to play for Ginebra.
