TNT has made a lot of changes for this season. You are familiar with their trades but how about these recent free-agency moves?
Another young big is let go
One of their key moves was to cut Fonzo Gotladera. Gotladera was NLEX' pick in the 2016 Gilas draft. He was supposed to be a promising jack-up big but he never got enough opportunity to show his wares.
What is very unfortunate for him was that he was cut a week before the start of the season, when all the other eleven teams were almost settled with their rosters.
Fonso will now play in the PBA D-League with FamilyMart-Enderun. The good thing about it is that the team is affiliated with the Phoenix Fuel Masters, giving him a clear path to be back in the PBA. Phoenix has been winning games but their frontline can always be upgraded.
From the younger brother
Ken Bono has signed with TNT, together with JK Casino. To make room for the two, they will push back James Forrester to the reserve list.
Combining the news above, they basically gave the spot of Gotladera to Ken Bono. That is fascinating in a way because Gotladera is much younger and I do not think they are that far in terms of usefulness.
Casino could be a much useful piece because of his ability to hit threes.
