With what we saw in the first and a half month, there is a real good chance that the race for the Most Valuable Player award this year is more fun than in the last few seasons.
Rain or Shine and Phoenix are at the top of the standings. Who are there representatives in this ranking?
Did Jayson Castro and Stanley Pringle maintain their spots at the top?

#10 Sean Anthony (#7 in the Last Ranking)
One of the most underrated players in the league will sustain his spot in this ranking because he sustained his amazing production. He is currently averaging 20.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.0 assist, 2.4 steals and 40% FG per game. He is filling up the stat sheet way better than the more popular do-it-all guys out there. Unfortunately, he is not getting the respect of the league and even the fans.
#9 JP Erram (#4 in the Last Ranking)
JP's combination of shooting and rim protection is the current foundation of NLEX. Erram is averaging 3.3 blocks per game, #1 in the league. His block per game is 1.1 higher than the 2nd best. There is still a question if he can sustain his 38%+ shooting from beyond the arc.
#8 Maverick Ahanmisi (New!)
Rain or Shine is currently the 2nd best team in the league and Maverick has solidified himself as their best player. He is putting up 12.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.7 steals, 43% FG and 37% 3FG per game. They do not need him to make a lot of baskets but to be a team player on both ends of the court.

#7 Calvin Abueva (New!)
I think this is the real Calvin Abueva. His arrival in Phoenix has turned the Fuel Masters into a legitimate playoff contender, right from the get-go. Phoenix is the 2nd best team in rebounding, although they do not have a player taller than 6'6! How? The 11.8 rebounds per game of Calvin, third highest in the league, helps a lot.

Super Marcio is beyond 'super' from beyond the arc in their first seven games. He is attempting 8.9 per game and connecting on 4.3 of it! Yes, he is shooting 48% from beyond the arc!
His efficiency is so ridiculous because it is higher than the FG% of Sean Anthony, RR Pogoy and Matthew Wright, three of the current top 5 scorers in the league.

#5 Japeth Aguilar (#9 in the Last Ranking)
Japeth wants your attention. After his breakout season last year, it is hard to fathom him putting up better numbers again. He is doing it. He is producing 18.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.2 steals, 1.5 blocks, 52% FG and 56% 3FG per game. He is a dominant force on both ends of the court.

#4 June Mar Fajardo (#3 in the Last Ranking)
Fajardo is still the best player in the country but after more than a month, I do not think he is one of the three most valuable right now.
He is still dominant on both ends of the court, 5th in scoring, 2nd in rebounds and 3rd in blocks. Unfortunately, his team is not keeping up with his dominance, winning only four of their first seven games.

#3 Matthew Wright (New!)
Wright's composure and scoring mentality have settled down the offense of Phoenix. Yes, he is not efficient but opponents should respect him because he is one of the handfuls of players who are capable of connecting on pull-up threes, the most lethal shot in basketball.

#2 Jayson Castro (#2 in the Last Ranking)
Castro is not the same havoc-making point guard in the past. He has transitioned to a more of a system-player. His defense this season has been pretty awesome, securing the role of a defensive stopper on the guard position. Of course, his first step is still one of the quickest in the league and the most devastating.

Pringle's production is out of this world. If you were amazed by the 48% efficiency and 4.3 makes per game, how about Pringle's 60% efficiency and 4.5 makes per game from beyond the arc?
Add his 22.5 points per game, #1 in the league and his 2.8 steals per game, #2 in the league, and you have your MVP favorite. There is no way Stanley will keep this up but I do not think it will go down that much.
