Recent PBA Trades that we hoped where just April Fools' day joke - The 2015 draft

Today, we will continue to commemorate the trades that stained the reputation of the league. These were the trades that should have been April Fools' day jokes than reality.

2015 - The TNT Magic

Do you remember the 2015 PBA draft? That was the draft where TNT managed to get hold of the top 2 picks.

The #1 pick came from Blackwater and turned out to be Moala Tautuaa.

Do you remember how TNT got that pick? Let me remind you but you will surely be pissed off.

It was a three-team trade involving NLEX, TNT and Blackwater.

TNT traded KG Canaleta for the 2015 1st round pick of Blackwater. Blackwater then traded KG Canaleta to NLEX for Kevin Alas. And then Elite exchanged Alas for Larry Rodriguez and the 2015 1st round pick of TNT.

At that time, the media was focused on Kevin Alas because of his hype but as it turned out the swap of the 1st round picks was actually the bigger deal.

In summary, the Elite trade their 2015 1st round pick for the 2015 1st round pick and Larry Rodriguez.

That was funny right? How in the hell is the value of Larry Rodriguez equivalent on the difference of the 1st round pick of TNT and Blackwater at that time?

Especially if we remember that TNT was a finalist and a semifinalist in the 2014 season of the league. So, the commissioner at that time thought that the difference between the two is equivalent to the value of Larry?

What a shame.
