The rumblings about the management of TNT telling Jericho Cruz not to report anymore took fire in the last few days.
We haven't heard about any trade. So, which teams should try to trade for Cruz?
COLUMBIAN DYIP
This one is obvious. Columbian lacks firepower in every position. Yes, Dyip has good young guards in Jerramy King and Rashawn McCarthy but none of them may not even be one of the top 15 guards in the country.
Thus, adding another guard to their fold will help a lot, especially with the injury of King. The problem though is, what can they give back to get Jericho? TNT gave up a 1st round pick for him so I do not think they will accept an offer that is not near that.
NLEX ROAD WARRIORS
Early in March, NLEX was looking for an upgrade in their guard rotation. I am pretty sure Cruz will be an upgrade over Kenneth Ighalo, Philip Paniamogan, Juami Tiongson, Mark Tallo and Cyrus Baguio.
The good thing is, Cruz is already familiar with the system of coach Yeng Guiao because of their days in Rain or Shine. NLEX can offer some of their bigman and forward depth to fetch Jericho.
ALASKA ACES
Alaska is actually loaded with guards that they have drafted and have developed. But, Jericho Cruz will be an upgrade on the majority of them. I am talking about MJ Ayaay, Abel Galliguez, Jayvee Casio and Davon Potts.
Although Cruz is not the most efficient guard out there, his body and strength and handle will help him be a creator for the Aces. Alaska is still in need of players who can breakdown the defense and Jericho can do that. He will surely understand the minute's distribution of coach Alex Compton becausse it is pretty similar to coach Yeng.
