Around 3:10 of the 4th quarter of the game 5 of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup finals, a spiderman streaker entered the court and even collided with June Mar Fajardo.
That forced the game to stop for several minutes as everyone was trying to process what just happened.
After the commotion, the streaker told the media that his intention was not to hurt anyone but to spread love, as shown by the placards that he was holding, " Vote Love. Love PBA. Love Philippines."
This was the first time that such an event happened in the league. Although, in other professional leagues, they already experienced it.
At the end of what happened, I think the biggest question was, did he do something right?
Technically and legally, he deserves to be charged with alarm and scandal and unjust vexation. Now, what was the price of that?
According to the streaker, "gusto ko lang po magmahalan tayo. Gusto ko lang po magmahalan tayo, ‘yun lang, wala nang iba po."
So, for those who saw what he did live and on the web, let me ask you a question. Was your love for the PBA and the country or just the sense of love itself, grew because of what he did?
That is the point! What he did has nothing to do with his intention! There is no connection! How can streaking with a spiderman costume helped in spreading the love for the PBA and for the country?
If he really has that intention, he better think about other ways of fulfilling it because what he did was a huge mistake.
