PBA Trade Rumor: Jericho Cruz is staying with TNT?

The TNT-saga continue. Last month, we heard the rumors about a revamp in the roster of TNT and also the rumored trade of Jericho Cruz.

It seems like things have changed this May as Jericho Cruz is now being buzzed as a returnee to the line-up of Ka Tropa.

Actually, a week ago Jericho talked to his agent about his future. Two things may have happened there. First, after talking to the management of TNT, the relationship was repaired. Second, TNT tried to find a taker for Cruz but no one wanted to give a similar package that they gave up to get him. Thus, they will just retain him.

If Jericho Cruz is out of the trade possibilities, it means Brian Heruela and Kelly Williams could be the top 2 trade baits of TNT.

If Cruz is out of the trade radar, it may also mean that TNT is not bound to get a premium young player anytime soon. Unless they will give up a 1st round pick.

Up to this point, Jericho has failed to live up to the trade package that TNT gave up for him. He battled a lot of injuries for all his conferences with the team.

If he is healthy for the upcoming conference, TNT may finally unleash one of the deepest backcourts in the league with Jayson Castro, Brian Heruela, Cruz, Pogoy and Ryan Reyes.

Nonetheless, we are still two weeks away from the beginning of the 2nd conference. If TNT will make trades, I expect them to do it soon.

Now that they announced their import, maybe a trade is on the horizon.
