That statement could be his answer to his own self because he said in an interview before the Finals series that he may retire after getting one championship.
So, a big question remains about his future with the most dominant franchise with this era. Especially after what happened in game 2 when team governor Robert Non butted head with a referee-frustrated Terrence Romeo.
That is the second straw to a possible trade. The fact that he talked about retiring even before the Finals started may not have sounded well to the officials of SMB.
That is also connected to the biggest reason why San Miguel may try to get reed of him already. He may destroy the chemistry of the team.
Now that the Beermen are again on track to accomplish a grand slam, San Miguel should avoid any possibility of self-destruction.
Charles Rhodes is coming to help the Beermen in the upcoming conference. Terrence will not be happy to know that Rhodes is a scorer who will further decrease the number of shots that he takes. This Philippine Cup, he took 12.4 shots per game. With Rhodes in the fold, he may end up with a single-digit averaged shots per game.
Lastly, Von Pessumal and Paul Zamar can easily take his playing time and I do not think the Beermen will miss that much.
Overall, the Beermen may want to consider trading Romeo for at least a future first that will solidify their future.
