I do not think you expected TNT and Northport to be at the top of the standings a few weeks before the end of the elimination round. Franchises still have a few weeks to do something with their line-ups.
What should TNT, Alaska and NLEX do?
Let us see.
TNT - Another stretch big
With Terrence Jones at the middle, TNT has a pretty intact line-up. They have shooters, defenders and playmakers. One thing that they can add is another bigman who can shoot three-pointers because Yousef Taha and Kelly Williams cannot hit from beyond the arc. Of course, they can call on their little brother, NLEX, for one of their stretch bigs.
Alaska - A shot-creator
A bigman is also a need for the Aces but I think, it is better for them to find a shot-creator first because we are already at the import-laden conferences. With Vic Manuel still not on rhythm, Chris Banchero has been their lone capable playmaker.
Depending on how confident they are about their culture, they could ask for Terrence Romeo. Terrence is one of the, if not the best, shot creator in the league. If Alaska managed to tame The Beast for more than five seasons, they should be able to handle, The Bro.
NLEX - A lockdown defender
Basically, I am looking for coach Yeng's version of Gabe Norwood. Kenneth Ighalo has been a pretty good perimeter defender but I do not think he has the length to lockdown the long scoring wings of the league. How about calling their big brother, TNT, about one of the Semerad twins? Both Semerads are active defenders and have the size and athleticism to handle different type of wings.
