2019 Post Com. Cup: Ranking the Youngest Players of each Team #7 tp #12!

Other than watching your team win games, one of the entertaining things to observe is the progress of the young players of your favorite teams.

So, how about ranking the youngest players of your favorite teams? What I basically did was find the youngest of the 12 guys that played the most in the Philippine cup of each team and then rank them.

#12 Phoenix - Ron Dennison
Ron was not the 1st round pick of Phoenix in the 2018 draft but the guy was given more playing time than the 1st round pick, Jorey Napoles. That is because of the defensive tenacity of Ron. If he can improve his offense, especially his shooting, the 24 years old wing may end up being a starter in the future.

#11 Blackwater - Paul Desiderio
If you are not aware, Blackwater had the #2, #4 and #7 draft of the 2018 draft. Unfortunately, they may have chosen the wrong draft to have a lot of picks. The good thing though is that Paul is still very young at 22 years old. Do not be shocked if he is younger than all of the 2019 draft prospects. So, let us be patient with Paul because he has shown glimpses of what he could be.

#10 NLEX - Kris Porter
As expected, the best coach in terms of drafting found one of the hidden gems of the 2018 draft in Kris Porter. Porter entered the league as a legit stretch big and he delivered six three-pointers in the Philippine Cup. Guys like him have a place in this league.

#9 Columbian - JP Calvo
The youngest player in the league was the surprised #11 pick of the 2018 draft. Calvo is short even for a point guard but he has the wits and handles to be special. He averaged 7.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 42% FG per game in the Philippine Cup.

#8 Magnolia - Robbie Herndon
Playing in a loaded team like Magnolia is always a hard road to tackle for young players. One way to get playing time is to show-off role-player skills like hardworking defense and shooting. With Herndon's physique and athleticism, there is an untapped potential that coach Chito Victolero can juice out of Robbie.

#7 Meralco - Trevis Jackson
Meralco made a mind-boggling pick in the 2018 draft when they drafted a guard even though they already have a deep rotation of ball-handlers. Up to this point, their guard rotation is still very deep but at least, Trevis was given some minutes to show-off. Jackson averaged 6.1 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 40% 3FG per game in the Philippine Cup.
