Now that the elimination round of the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup is over, the 2019 PBA draft is on full force. With a lot of names becoming unavailable for the draft, we need to dig much deeper to find the best pick for the others.
So, it is time to do the mock!
#1 BWE Kobe Paras - If the UP connection is real, this could the pick that the Elite is waiting for. One of the most hyped Filipino amateur players in this century.
#2 DYIP Isaac Go - Grabbing Thirdy Ravena is risking being forced to trade Thirdy to one of the MVP teams. Go is the much safer pick.
#3 ALA Thirdy Ravena - Alaska is the independent team who will gut it out in retaining a player. A trio of Ravena, Ahanmisi and Teng looks promising and full of muscles.
#4 ROS Sean Manganti - Manganti has the size, athleticism and foundational skills to be better than expected. ROS is just the right franchise to develop him.
#5 ROS Jeo Ambohot - Ambohot should really consider joining this year's draft even though he can still play in the NCAA because by virtue of being a young bigman, he could steal a spot in the top 6.
#6 NLEX Roosevelt Adams - Coach Yeng Guiao will value the 3-and-D potential of Adams. I am pretty sure, he is lurking to upgrade his wing rotation.
#7 NOR Val Chauca - With the injury of Robert Bollick, getting a point guard will be fine for the Batang Pier. At this point, Chauca is the best option.
#8 ROS Rey Suerte - If the rumored James Yap trade is happening, they will need another scorer. Suerte could be the best in this class.
#9 MAG Larry Muyang - Magnolia will enter this draft with one rule, do not draft a guard. They can turnout to be lucky if a viable center will be available for them.
#10 BGSM Andrei Caracut - Caracut could be the young point guard that Ginebra is waiting for. He has the most important skill that they need. He can shoot three-pointers.
#11 TNT Aaron Black - I really want Black to end up in the TNT franchise because he badly needs to bolster his outside shooting.
#12 DYIP Vince Tolentino - Tolentino is the the kind of guy that they need in the locker room. A proven winner in the amateurs that could help them turnaround their culture.
