At the middle of a lot of trade discussions are the teams in the MVP group. The number 1 theme surrounding them is that they will make big moves to bolster their chances for the upcoming season.
TNT has been their franchise that has made a lot of changes. They have traded for a lot of guards and added guards, also.
So, are those trade indicating what the big move that they are going to pull?
Let us check their core line-up, and rank them according to how likely they are going to be the next Ka Tropa in a new uniform.
#5 RR Pogoy & Troy Rosario
These duo is already part of the current foursome of TNT and I think they will also be there for the next iteration of it. They are modern players who rely a lot on their three-point shooting and both are also good defenders.
#4 Kelly Williams & Harvey Carey
If you add the facts that this two are legends of the franchise and that they are already old and that they are bigs, I only see few reasons for TNT to unload them.
#3 Bobby Ray Parks
I actually think that TNT will try their best to keep Ray Parks just to save face. Think about it, losing him will make him the second young star who wanted out of the flagship of their conglomerate. In terms of marketing and image, that is a very bad look. Add the fact that the guy has a higher ceiling that RR and Troy and I strongly believe that it is better for TNT to keep him.
Yes. I think the rumors of a Ray Parks trade to Ginebra may not actually happen.
#2 Jayson Castro
Yes. I actually believe the rumblings surrounding the face of their franchise. Why? Because they did it in the past. What I mean is, they traded Ranidel de Ocampo to Meralco and let Jimmy Alapag go to them.
Yes. I think, that will happen again here. The difference will be, it will not be Meralco that they are going to boost but NLEX.
#1 Almond Vosotros, Samboy De Leon & David Semerad
The biggest possibility are these three. There is a good chance though that Vosotros and De Leon will just go straight to free-agency but if that will not happen, I expect them to be part of a big trade.
