The PBA universe continues to wait for the resumption of 2020 Philippine Cup. So, let us finish up this series of articles for our last three teams.
Phoenix - RJ Jazul
The Fuel Masters franchise has been pretty silent in the trade rumor mill. Looking at their roster, it is hard to fathom them trading one of their bigs. Even though almost all of their big men will be bench players in elite teams.
RJ Jazul looks like the best candidate to be traded because even though he is a guard, who has the most important skill of shooting. They also have a good depth already in their guard position.
Columbian - RaShawn McCarthy
There are only a few players in the Dyip uniform that actually have trade value. I am talking about Roosevelt Adams, CJ Perez, Joseph Gabayni, Aldrech Ramos and McCarthy. I do not think Columbian can get any positive value in trading the other players.
I do understand that CJ Perez is the guy that has been in the trade rumors for a while now. But, there is a good chance that the Perez-trade will not happen anytime soon because of the JP Erram trade that the trade committee heavily scrutinized. The trade-committee cannot accept a trade that is far from what they pushed TNT, Blackwater and NLEX to make. So, the easier trade possibility for them is McCarthy. And it could look like the Jackson Corpuz trade. Wherein, they will exchange him for a veteran with name value.
Ginebra - Jerrick Balanza
The other best candidate for Ginebra is Greg Slaughter. The only problem of putting him as the prediction is the fact that he has control of his own situation and knowing that he is trying to avoid getting traded, still not confirmed. It is hard to see him giving any chance to Ginebra, anytime soon. And at this point, the trade value of Greg is cut into half because of what he did.
Now, I am quite confident that the next trade that Ginebra will make will be with Northport and knowing that, the best trade candidate is Balanza. He is a former player of coach Bonnie Tan, the current general manager of Northport. The wing and forward positions of Ginebra are also pretty deep with the addition of Balanza and Arvin Tolentino. So, unloading a wing player will just be fine.
