2020 Fantasy Basketball League Quarterfinals Game 1

We are finally in the playoffs of our first-ever conference! Here is an article from Paul Dave to hype it up!

The Beermen, Kings, Dyip, Fuel Masters, Hotshots, Batang Pier, Katropa and the Road Warriors are the teams that made it to the postseason. Meanwhile, the campaign of Aces, Bolts, Elasto Painters and Elite this conference has come to an end.

Speaking of Alaska Aces, even though they won and defeated the Northport Batang Pier, they still failed to make it to the playoffs because the NLEX Road Warriors won their game against the TNT Katropa.

Now, let's talk about the playoffs match up for every team.

But first, let me remind you that this is a Best-of-5 Quarterfinals which means that the team that wins 3 games will advance to the semifinals.

1. San Miguel Beermen vs. NLEX Road Warriors
The Beermen was the one who clinched the top spot and the homecourt advantage by defeating the Columbian in an overtime game 112-105 in favor of SMB. This is a pretty interesting series match up, it is a battle of Young Guns and a Talented team. And I'm sure this is a hard-fought series between these two franchises and everyone must be ready because no one is planning to back down.

2. Barangay Ginebra vs. TNT Katropa
Though, the Gin Kings is the Number 2 seeded team and they had the homecourt advantage in this series, they still must not feel confident because the TNT Katropa had some talents that can match them on the postseason. In my opinion, this will be a good series and advancing to the next round will be difficult!

3. Columbian Dyip vs. Northport Batang Pier
In their last 2 meetings, the Batang Pier defeated the Dyip twice. But both of these teams lost in their last game in the elimination. So, it may seem that each team must do their best to get their composure and get back on their momentum. This will be an epic match, between two well-balance teams.

4. Phoenix Fuel Masters vs Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok
This is a clash between the teams that don't lack on veterans. Both teams had so many veteran players on their line up,  especially the Hotshots. The Magnolia Hotshots seems to be the team that has more talents even tough they had homecourt disadvantage. But the Phoenix Pulse still has firepowers for them to be able to defeat the Pambansang Manok and advance to the Semi-Finals. For me, the team that will get their momentum first, might be the one who will win these whole series.

Overall, it is an exciting playoff we had. It is a fight for PBSL AFC Championship, let's find out who will get it as the playoffs will start on Wednesday, June 24.
