PBA Free-Agency: Rabeh Al-Hussaini's indirect swipe against San Miguel Corp. and MVP Group franchises!

Next to Calvin Abueva and Terrence Romeo, I think Rabeh Al-Hussaini has been the most controversial player in the league.

This year, the guy went to Kuwait, the nation of his father, and he failed to return to the Philippines. As of the day of the writing of this article, Rabeh is still in Kuwait.

Now, in the article of Spin.ph, it said that Rabeh sent a message to the owner of Blackwater Elite, Dioceldo Sy, stating that he heard the news. That he misses the team and that he wished him all the best.

Rabeh is currently a free agent after his contract with Blackwater expired. He was traded to NLEX and they are the ones who officially let him be unrestricted.

Now, the most intriguing statement from him was this, "sa Blackwater ko lang na-feel ang family."

In a way, that is a dig to his former teams. He played for Air21 in 2011, the SMB franchise from 2011 to 2012, the Powerade franchise from 2012 to 2013, TNT in 2013, Meralco, NLEX and Blackwater for multiple years.

He basically played for all the franchises of the MVP group. So, he is in a way saying that he never felt the vibe of a family.

Is this an issue?

The reality is, having that family-bond in a team is not really a primary ingredient in winning a lot of championships.

If you have watched the Last Dance documentary about Michael Jordan, they did not really play like a family.

The most important thing to succeed in basketball remains to be, talent. That is the reason why the SMC teams are dominating in the PBA.
