PBA Trades: The Top 5 Forwards that could be traded this offseason!

 

So, January 4, 2021 is the date to watch as the PBA will finally allow the teams to submit trade proposals. So, all the trade rumors last year that did not materialize, could finally happen.

Here is a rundown of the five best forwards that could change jersey in the upcoming season. Forwards are the players that are capable of playing as the 2nd biggest player in the court for an average team for the majority of a game.

Aljon Mariano
Mariano was a crucial part of the success of Ginebra in the past two conferences. Although, I am wondering what will happen to him if either Slaughter returns or they trade for a new star. Knowing that Coach Tim Cone is pretty high on Arvin Tolentino, will Ginebra be fine in decreasing the role of Mariano, which will also result in a decrease of his trade value?

Gabe Norwood
So, Rain or Shine already denied the rumors that they are leaving the PBA That doesn't mean though that they cannot think of cutting their costs for next season after a very unfruitful 2020. Unlike the teams of the big conglomerates, their budget is smaller. So, I will not be shocked if we will hear several rumors surrounding Norwood, soon.

Sean Anthony
There is no doubt in the mind of a lot of fans that Anthony is one of the most underrated players in the PBA. That is why I am wondering if after several years playing for a mediocre team, is he not itching to try and play for the gold? Or maybe, how about some of the elite teams in the league. Any chance they want to add one of the most versatile forwards in the country?

Mac Belo
He is the only top pick of Blackwater that lasted to them for several years. That doesn't mean though that he was not part of trade buzz. There were strong discussions in the past that NLEX wants him. Even Ginebra was once connected to his name. Will that finally happen? 

Ray Parks
This is the easiest one. Parks is again a restricted free-agent. If what happened last year will be repeated, can TNT manage to again push back against the desire of Ray? If they will fail to do it, Ray could be wearing a different uniform, soon.
