After the eruption of the article in Spin.ph that Vic Manuel is asking for a trade out of Alaska Aces, the PBA universe cannot stop talking about the possible result of this fiasco.
Unfortunately for the fans who are salivating to get Vic Manuel in their favorite team, it seems like Alaska may have saved the trade, once again.
According to Snow Badua, the owner of the franchise, Mr. Wilfred Uytengsu spoke to Vic Manuel and he managed to convince the bigman to sign the current offer of the team.
Although, they will give Vic an option for a trade after one conference.
The silence in the last few days may have confirmed this development. It seems like no trade discussions reached a good ground.
So, the big question now is, is this the best thing for Alaska to do?
Vic Manuel is already a disgruntled star. He is already fed up with his team. That could lead to bad performances and underwhelming production that will further hurt the team.
There is also the risk that he will actually allure some of the other Alaska players to follow his path. Remember that we have a rumor in the past about multiple Aces, trying to find a trade.
Also, I think they will actually get a good deal for Vic Manuel. A deal that may even help them, financially.
So, I really wonder if this is really the right thing to do.
