PBA Analysis: Is choosing coach Chot Reyes over coach Dickel, a good decision?

Unfortunately for coach Mark Dickel, injuries may have just cost him his job as coach Chot Reyes returns to the helm for TNT Ka Tropa.

A lot of people, especially TNT fans, were pumped with the return of coach Chot as he delivered four crowns to TNT in the past.

Although, with what I saw in the basketball court, I do not think coach Chot is much of an upgrade to coach Dickel. 

Dickel brought a very modern offense to TNT and it did fail to deliver a championship to TNT. Their failed 2019 Com. Cup finals was really disastrous because they were well-favored to get the crown with Terrence Jones with them.

Although the 2020 Phil. Cup defeat at the hands of Ginebra, should not have mattered in their decision to replace him because their best player back then, Ray Parks, got injured early in the series. Although, they did face a 2-1 disadvantage against Phoenix, which was unacceptable with the difference in firepower.

TNT was on the right path under coach Mark Dickel. Using very modern offense like what they utilized needed time to be productive and this could have been the year that they will harvest.

Overall, choosing coach Chot over coach Dickel was not a good decision but I also do not think that it is bad.

It is more of a blah for me. There are good things about it. But there are also bad things about it.
