PBA Power Ranking: The Top 10 Potential Sleepers of the 2021 PBA Draft!

The hype for this draft is really really high right now. For some coaches and analysts, the depth of this draft could be its biggest selling point.

So, how about testing that by giving you my top 10 sleeper picks? These are the guys that could fall to round 3 and beyond and have that potential to be something special.

Or simply, who could be the next PJ Simon and Raul Soyud?

#10 Michael Rio-Simmond, 6'2, US
Athleticism is no doubt the most important ingredient in getting an opportunity to become a professional basketball player. Michael has that and maybe some more.

#9 Andoy Estrella, 5'10, Mapua
I considered Andoy to be the craftiest pure Pinoy point guard that could potentially fall in the 3rd round and beyond. In his final year in Mapua, Andoy produced 12.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 37% 3FG per game. If his shooting and playmaking sustain, he may steal a roster spot in the PBA.

#8 David Murrell, 6'4, UP
He did not get enough playing time in the UP to give him an assurance to be a pick on the first two rounds. David is a high leaper with excellent strength.

#7 Brian Enriquez, 6'3, US
He is a wingman that was built in the US and that has made him an interesting team player. He is a very good off-the-ball player. He runs through screens and hits three-pointers. He is not that athletic but has also the ball skills to drive to the rim.

#6 Tyrus Hill, 6'5, Adamson
For any team looking for an excellent project, Tyrus is a good option. He has a long wingspan and very high leaping ability. He can easily be the smaller version of a Japeth Aguilar. The only question now is, will he convince a team to develop him?

#5 Dhon Reverente, 6'1, Muntinlupa
I am very interested in Dhon Roverente. Dhon is old for a rookie-hopeful but the guy is really hardworking, and guys like him usually impress a coaching staff to stay long in the PBA.

#4 Seraj Elmejrab, 6'8, Hazchem
Height is might in the PBA. Elmejrab is big. As in 6'8 big. He also moves pretty well for his size. Although, he needs a lot of training for him to be something on the offensive end.

#3 Mark Olayon, 6'4, UE
It is not easy to find a 6'4 with these numbers, 9.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 30.4% 3FG per game. Mark did that in the MPBL. His ability to make plays for others at that size makes Mark a very unique find if he falls in the 3rd round or beyond.

#2 Taylor Browne, 6'3, Canada
My description of Enriquez is also applicable to Taylor but he is more athletic and it seems to have more ball skills. Filipino coaches are also more aware of him because of his exploit against the Mighty Sports team.

#1 Ken Holmqvist, 6'8, FEU
Knowing that Ken has not been playing consistent basketball, there is a good chance that he will not have enough hype to be part of the first two rounds. That will make him the price of the 3rd round and beyond. He is 6'8 with excellent touch. That combination is not easy to find.
