Now that the PBA draft is done, we can now update our power ranking!
#12 Blackwater Elite (#12 Previously)
#11 Terrafirma Dyip (#11 Previously)
#10 NLEX Road Warriors (#10 Previously)
It is very unfortunate that MVP Group has decided to utilize NLEX like a farm team. With coach Yeng Guiao at the helm, they have the coach that doesn't need much to be a championship contender.
#9 Alaska Aces (#8 Previously)
Letting go of Brian Heruela means Alaska ended up with a little bit bad package for a Vic Manuel. I am also not a fan of grabbing Ben Adamos.
#8 Northport Batang Pier (#9 Previously)
Northport grabbing a Troy Rike at #11 made me comfortable to push them up in this spot. They now have a pretty stack frontline that is a very important ingredient to succeed in the league.
#7 Rain or Shine Elasto Painters (#7 Previously)
I am quite confident that coach Chris Gavina will make Santillan tougher and that will make him more effective. Although, the current Beau Belga rumor could have more impact on their run this season.
#6 Phoenix Super LPG (#6 Previously)
I think Phoenix rounded up their line-up pretty well during the 46th PBA draft. I just hope that the current Matthew Wright trade rumors are not true.
#5 Magnolia Hotshots (#3 Previously)
When I dig deeper on the roster of Magnolia, it seems like their shallow frontline rotation could be a bigger problem than anticipated. Remember that Ian Sangalang has some lingering injury issues too. With Sangalang, they only have a Rafi Reavis to handle giants. And that is a problem.
#4 Meralco Bolts (#5 Previously)
If you want to learn interesting schemes and strategies, Meralco could be the team that can give you that in the upcoming season because of having the most versatile line-up in the league. With more than half of their core, capable of playing two positions (either PG, wing, forward, center), they can mold a line-up that fits their need.
#3 TNT Tropang Giga (#4 Previously)
TNT is back at the top 3 after they added a Mikey Williams who is capable of being the engine of the drive and kick offense of coach Chot Reyes.
#2 San Miguel Beermen (#2 Previously)
So, the health concerns about June Mar Fajardo are real. The question now is, can Cabagnot, Santos and Lassiter still play at a high enough level to push SMB to the Finals?
#1 Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel (#1 Previously)
I think, this spot of Ginebra is very safe with the current issue about the health of the Kraken. I think, only San Miguel has the frontline that can withstand Aguilar and Standhardinger.
if tnt gets back ray parks then they pick up from free agency shaw the big guy may laban sila
