PBA Free-Agency: The three teams that need Sol Mercado!

Last year, Northport traded Sol Mercado to Phoenix. His stint with Phoenix was not fruitful due to some contract issues.

Unfortunately, another offseason is about to end and he is still not signed with any other team. But, one recent rumor tells the public that he is now about to sign. 

So, which three teams need Sol? Of course, I did not consider Northport and Phoenix anymore.

#3 Rain or Shine 

How about the team that he first played for? They are badly in need for a starting point guard as Rey Nambatac will now play more of the SG.

Rain or Shine drafted Caracut and Asistio but rookies like them will be hard to trust. If Rain or Shine wants stability, Mercado could be their best bet.

#2 Alaska Aces
The team that drafted him. Alaska has a good plethora of capable point guards but I do not think they have anyone who is as lethal as Mercado, on both ends of the court. Alaska also is lacking now of a lockdown defender.

Mercado could be that guy.

#1 Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel
The fact that coach Tim Cone wants Brian Enriquez to be his next Sol Mercado tells us that Ginebra needs a Sol Mercado. 

LA Tenorio is also very near to his retirement and Mercado is no doubt, a much better back-up point guard from all their other options.
